InsiderLingo is a Chrome extension that reads glossary data directly from Google Sheets URLs you provide. The extension processes this data locally in your browser to display helpful tooltips on web pages you visit.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• No account registration — You don't create an account with us
• No glossary content — Your terminology stays in your Google Sheets
• No browsing data — We don't track what websites you visit
• No personal information — We don't collect names, emails, or other personal data
• No usage analytics — We don't monitor how you use the extension

3. Information We Do Collect

• Google Sheets URLs you manually enter in the extension settings (stored locally in your browser)
• Cached glossary data from your Google Sheets (stored locally in your browser for 24 hours)

4. Where Your Data is Stored

Locally only. All extension settings and cached glossary data are stored in your Chrome browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device or gets sent to our servers.

5. Third-Party Services

The extension fetches data directly from Google Sheets using the public CSV URLs you provide. This communication is directly between your browser and Google's servers — we are not involved in this data transfer.

6. Data Sharing

We don't collect your data, so we have nothing to share. Your glossary content and usage patterns remain entirely private to you.

7. Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally in your browser:

• Glossary cache automatically expires after 24 hours
• Settings persist until you uninstall the extension or clear browser data
• You can manually clear all extension data through the extension settings

8. Security

Your data security depends on:

• Google Sheets security for your glossary content
• Chrome browser security for local data storage
• Your device security since everything runs locally

9. Your Rights

• Delete extension data by uninstalling the extension
• Clear cached data through extension settings
• Control access to your Google Sheets through Google's sharing settings

10. Children's Privacy

The extension doesn't collect any personal information from users of any age. No special protections are needed since no data collection occurs.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if the extension's data handling changes. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
